Questions and answers
How is tax on wages calculated in Denmark?
Pension and ATP contributions come off first, if you have them. Then AM-bidrag, which is 8%. On what's left, after your monthly fradrag, you pay A-skat at your trækprocent.
Where do I find my trækprocent and fradrag?
At skat.dk, after logging in with MitID, on your tax card (skattekort).
What if I don't have a tax card?
Then your employer has to withhold 55% tax. Get your tax card sorted before your first payday.
Which exchange rate do you use?
The average rate published by the National Bank of Poland (NBP) for that day. The date of the rate is shown under the result.
Does the calculator store what I enter?
No. Everything is calculated on your phone or computer. Nothing is sent to us or used in any statistics.
